What we collect when you visit this site, call, text, or email us — and what we do with it. The short version: we use your details to get back to you about your floors, and we never sell them.
Crestwell Homeworks is a family-owned hardwood floor refinishing, restoration and repair business based in Lexington, Kentucky. When you request an estimate online. Our form asks for two things: your name and your phone number. Nothing else is required.
When you call, text, or email. We receive your phone number or email address and whatever you choose to send us, such as photos of your floors, room sizes, or your address. Calls come straight to us and are not recorded.
At an estimate or on a job. Your address, notes and photos about your floors, and the details we need to quote, schedule, and invoice the work.
When you browse the site. Google Analytics and the Google Ads tag record the pages you visit, the ad or link that brought you here, your device and browser type, your approximate location (city level, from your IP address), and actions such as tapping the call button or sending the form. They use cookies and similar identifiers to do it.
We use your contact details to call or text you back, give you an estimate, schedule and carry out the work, invoice it, and stand behind it afterward. We use the browsing data to learn which pages and ads actually bring in customers, so our advertising budget goes where it works. We don’t sell your information, and we don’t add you to a marketing list for anything other than the floors you asked us about.
Only the service providers that help us run the business: Netlify, which hosts this website; Web3Forms, which delivers estimate-form submissions to our inbox; and Google, which provides Analytics, Ads measurement, and the fonts this site uses. Our phone and email providers carry our calls, texts and messages. Each of them handles data under its own privacy policy. We may also disclose information when the law requires it, or to protect our rights or someone’s safety.
Google may use what its tags collect under Google’s privacy policy, which can include measuring and showing ads across other sites.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, opt out of Google Analytics with Google’s opt-out add-on, and control ad personalization in My Ad Center. The site, the estimate form, and our phone line all work without cookies.
We keep estimate and job records for as long as we need them to serve you, honor our workmanship guarantee, and meet tax and accounting obligations, and never longer than five years after your last estimate or job with us. Then we delete them. Analytics data is kept according to the retention setting in our Google Analytics account.
You can ask us what information we hold about you, to correct it, or to delete it. Email info@crestwellhomeworks.com or call (859) 428-7587, and we’ll take care of it promptly. We may need to confirm it’s really you first, and we’ll keep anything the law requires us to.
This site is meant for homeowners, landlords and real estate professionals. It is not directed to children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect information from them.
We take reasonable steps to protect what you share with us, though no website or inbox is perfectly secure. If this policy changes, we’ll update this page and the date at the top.
